Since 2009, on the occasion of the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26 every year, the China National Intellectual Property Administration, together with relevant departments, has jointly organized and held the National Intellectual Property Publicity Week nationwide. At present, after 16 years of continuous development, the publicity week has become the most influential and highly regarded intellectual property publicity brand in China.
In order to further expand the dissemination and influence of the publicity week activities, enhance the participation of all sectors of society in intellectual property publicity activities, and in combination with the theme of “Intellectual Property and Music: Experiencing the Rhythm of Intellectual Property” for World Intellectual Property Day 2025, we are now publicly soliciting the theme song of the National Intellectual Property Publicity Week activities from the whole society. We plan to use the power of music to better promote the importance of respecting and protecting intellectual property, promote the spirit of innovation, and stimulate innovation vitality.
1、 Work requirements
(1) Song theme
Creating with intellectual property as the theme, showcasing the important role of intellectual property in promoting technological progress, economic development, and cultural prosperity.
(2) Song content
Adhering to the principle of “singing loudly, spreading widely, and remembering”, the lyrics are concise, powerful, and infectious, emphasizing the memory points of intellectual property rights and reflecting the timeliness and universality of intellectual property culture. The melody is uplifting and the style is not limited.
(3) Solicitation target
Regardless of age or occupation, music creators, university teachers and students, social organizations, and people from all walks of life are welcome to actively participate.
(4) Other requirements
- Originality: The submitted works must be unpublished original works, and plagiarism or infringement of others’ intellectual property rights is strictly prohibited.
- Adaptability: Suitable as official background music during the National Intellectual Property Promotion Week, used for online and offline event promotion.
- Creative forms: Encourage the use of diverse creative methods, including but not limited to traditional composition, digital music, AI assisted creation, etc.
- Song duration: Recommended 2-4 minutes.
2、 Submission requirements
(1) Material List
- Registration Form for the Theme Song Collection of the National Intellectual Property Promotion Week (see attachment).
- Submit lyrics, sheet music, and recorded audio samples.
- Submit the creator’s profile and contact information.
(2) Material requirements
The registration form for the theme song collection activity of the National Intellectual Property Promotion Week should be signed (or stamped) by the creator of the work.
- Lyrics should be submitted in WORD or PDF format; Use sheet music or simplified notation to record scores, and submit them in WORD or PDF format; Record audio samples and submit them in MP3 or WAV format.
- Creators are required to submit their works via email, with the title of the submission email indicating “Collection of Theme Songs for Promotion Week Activities” and the name of the author or team.

3、 Other matters
- The copyright of the selected works belongs to the organizing committee of the National Intellectual Property Promotion Week, and the organizing committee has the right to modify, use, and promote the works. AI tools are allowed to assist in creation, but creators must declare the scope of AI participation (such as lyric writing, arrangement, etc.) and ensure that AI generated content does not infringe on third-party rights. If there is a dispute over infringement, the creator shall bear full responsibility.
Once the work is accepted, the organizing committee will provide the creator with appropriate compensation.
- Submission is deemed to agree to the content of this notice, and the final interpretation of this event belongs to the organizing committee of the National Intellectual Property Promotion Week.
